Reporting directly to the Director Sport Development the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating sport activities for school going and out-of-school youth, ranging between 5 – 19 years for the select sport codes across the country, through various National Sport Association (NSAs), as well as facilitating capacity building in the areas of coaching, refereeing/umpiring, adjudication and any other such essential field for the development of sport.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPA’S)
• Facilitation of the appointment of all key personnel needed for the successful implementation of the programme.
• Successful registration of Schools & Volunteers.
• Quality coordination, monitoring and delivery of the Matlhagolatsela programme.
• Close monitoring of the programme delivery as per the project timelines
• Financial prudence and compliance to procurement regulations .i.e. Public Procurement Regulatory Authority
(PPRA) polices and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor in Sport Administration/ Physical Education/ Public Administration or related field.
• Possession of an internationally recognised Technical Qualification/ Licenses e.g. Coaching, Umpiring etc/
experience in Labour Relations/ School Sport Administration as an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 7 years in a supervisory role
• Extensive knowledge in the Sport discipline
